Parents have the most influence in their children's lives. Our goal is to support them in their spiritual responsibility to shepherd & train their children in the word of God. We do this two ways: first, by teaching the word of God in the classroom, and second, to provide materials to help parents shepherd their children's hearts to be awakened to the joy of knowing Christ for themselves. |

The New City Catechism is designed to help children not only learn sound doctrine but also to learn how to respond to it and live it out in their lives. Because parents have the main opportunity and responsibility to shepherd their children's hearts, our purpose is to provide tools for parents to engage their children in sound doctrine that God uses to transform their hearts. We recommend that parents direct and help their children memorize the catechism questions and answers and the memory verses.
