Southview StudentsIt is our mission to provide an atmosphere of discipleship and community, encouraging students and families to come into a loving, devoted relationship with God, passionately pursuing wisdom and righteousness where all involved Treasure, Follow, Learn, and Lead...
Treasure: recognize the Treasure of Christ and the truth of God, His Word, His Creation, and salvation through Christ Follow: to see students and families living in authenticity passionate for the ultimate treasure of Christ Learn: growing in relationship with God and others, becoming nerdy theologians that hunger and thirst for righteousness and truth Lead: loving the truth and others enough to rely on Christ and demonstrate His best for the world around us Our Commitment: We commit first and foremost to passionately following the God of the universe! We commit to teach the life giving message and philosophy of God’s word. We commit to going deeper; shallow faith is nothing more than an excuse for selfishness…something we all battle as humans! We commit to provide a place where you can feel safe interacting with God. We commit to upholding our standards so you always know what is expected…no special treatment or favorites in this group! We commit to honesty…which means we are not scared to share with you what we see in your life and we will never use manipulation! We commit to supporting you and your family in truth; we are not here to replace your family! |
7 Years, 7 Marks, 7 ValuesHow do we measure our personal maturity according to God's plan and purpose? Thankfully, the book of Proverbs has a lot to say about this...and Mark Matlock of WisdomWorks has identified 7 recurring themes in Proverbs that point us toward maturity. As you become more involved in what the student ministry is doing, you will find that these 7 themes are the items we focus on in developing leadership, teaching students, and working with families.

The Southview Students Team
Each member of our leadership team has a passion to see students deeply connected to God and walking in authenticity with Him. In order to do so, leaders are committed to living their lives in the shadow of Christ knowing that students will follow the examples of leadership. Each leader is in good standing with the church and community; each meets the student ministry age requirement of at least 21 (some wish they were still 21); each leader undergoes an annual extensive background search for the protection of all involved; and each leader meets all the requirements of the church’s youth/children volunteer policy! Without further delay, here is the greatest student ministry team in NC:
