CONGREGATIONAL CARE

What is Congregational Care?

The function of congregational care is to “Admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, and be patient with them all” (1 Thessalonians 5:14). Regardless of circumstances and situational specifics, the primary focus of individuals involved in congregational care is infectiously injecting the Hope of Christ into all environments. To this end, the intended result of congregational care is not to fix, heal, or cure congregant’s afflictions, but rather to present the afflicted with fully intact armor of God (Ephesians 6) ready and able to stand against the attempts of the enemy to sow doubt, fear, and despair.

Mission Statement

The congregational care ministry exists to encourage, exhort, admonish, rebuke, uplift, edify, strengthen, and grow the members of Southview Baptist Church by way of intentional engagement in a myriad of settings. The end state will be a bearing of one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and a building up of the Body of Christ through the interjection of the Hope of Christ via the Holy Spirit.

Care Request Form

The Care Request Form exist to be another tool for the congregation to reach out to the church for help, whether that be spiritual, or physical. If you can give us a brief description of how we can help, your phone number and name, we'll reach out to follow up with you, whether that be via phone call, text, or sit down conversation. If you wish to contact our congregational care pastor directly, you can reach Jeremy Clever at [email protected]. For additional availability, the churches office hours are from 10am-4pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
