Parents' Update & Resources
Our purpose is to nurture within one another an ever-increasing knowledge of and fulfillment in God that inspires us to reflect Christ and make disciples.
This fallen world cannot fulfill the deepest desires of our hearts, nor can we escape the guilt of sin through our self efforts. It is only Christ Jesus that can cleanse our consciences and fully satisfy the inner cravings of our souls. Below you will find resources to help you lead your family in the truth that sets us free to love, enjoy, and purposely serve God who created us for His glory.
Preschool and elementary children are on a three year quest through the Bible to discover the ultimate treasure; the Lord Jesus Christ. It is He who is the divine thread that unifies all of the Bible.
September 2 - 23: Jesus the Anointed One - In this unit, your children will learn how people began to turn against Jesus, and how He began His journey toward Jerusalem knowing He would be arrested and crucified. Jesus continued to tell people that they needed to repent, and He also prepared His true followers for His death.

Lesson Content for the 2018-2019 School Year
3 year old - kindergarten ~ HE HAS SPOKEN BY HIS SON: New Testament Stories for Young Children
The New Testament beautifully unfolds the wonder and power of Jesus Christ. This curriculum explores the greatness of God in Christ by noting key themes found chronologically throughout the New Testament. Children will be presented with key themes, illustrations, and application questions to acquaint children with a great God who has spoken by His Son.
1st and 2nd grades ~ FAITHFUL TO ALL HIS PROMISES: A Study for Children on the Promises of God
Faithful to All His Promises is a study for children on the promises of God. Children will not simply learn about some of God's promises, but rather, they will discover what it means to trust in those promises which are God's gift to us, not something we deserve. Faithful to All His Promises begins by teaching children what a promise is, what makes God trustworthy with these promises, and who these promises are for. Then children get to explore some specific promises from God to see how He has been and will be faithful to each of those promises.
3rd and 4th grades ~ TO BE LIKE JESUS: A Study for Children on Following Jesus
What is salvation? How does someone become a Christian? What does it mean to become like Jesus? To Be Like Jesus begins by helping students answer these important questions by establishing the foundation of what it means to be created in the image and likeness of God and shows how we have sinned and utterly fallen short of glorifying God as we should. Then, students will learn nine elements of the Gospel message, its purpose and its promise. The second half of the curriculum focuses on the doctrine of sanctification—the process by which a Christian becomes more and more conformed to the likeness of Jesus. Students will study 19 specific commands of Scripture that highlight how they can love God most and become more like him such as worshiping God, being merciful, rejoicing in persecution, being a humble servant and serving God with your abilities.
5th grade ~ HOW MAJESTIC IS YOUR NAME: A Study for Children on the Names and Character of God
The names of God in the Bible are a reflection of His character, which is so glorious that He cannot be described by a single name. His character is communicated in hundreds of names progressively revealed in the Bible. 5th graders will be taught that the many names, titles and references to God are given for us to know, reverence, and enjoy the greatness of our God. Each lesson presents glorious truths about God and encourages students to see and rejoice in His goodness and greatness.
Our desire is for families and children to have a passion for the supremacy of God in all things, experience joy in Jesus Christ, and therefore discover Him as their ultimate treasure.
The kingdom of heaven is like treasure, buried in a field, that a man found and reburied. Then in his joy he goes and sells everything he has and buys that field.
(Matthew 13:44, HCSB)
